The Dutch Scorpionassociation has the vision to change te negative stigma around scorpions. They mainly focus on inform beginning keepers correctly about the housing of scorpions, and they trie to stimulate captive breeding in order to minimalize catching the animals in the wild. KKF
Frettig Gestoord is an association build in 1998 to gather owners of ferrets and interested parties. The association provides information about the housing of ferrets as pets,published a magazine 4 times a year, take in lost ferrets, accomodate older/sick ferrets in host families and help by finding a vacation stay for your ferret.

The Dutch Association of Angora-Rabbitbreeders (build in 1922) has as purpose to look after the needs of the three angora breeds, their breeders and interested parties. The association plays an educational part and you can contact them for information, quastions, books about nurturing, photo's and a membership of course.

Vogel
Stichting papegaai has been established to guarantee the welfare of kept parrots. Many parrots are kept as pets in the house, garden, stores, shelters, etc., in the Netherlands. Naturally, it is very important that owners think about the nutrition, housing and nurturing of these animals or in other words the welfare of the parrot. This way parrots can be kept in a responsible way.
In the clip, Jan Hooijmeijer tells about the establishment of stichting papegaai, why they started the association, what they do and at which events you can find them. Furthermore, bird Doris can be seen to say hi.

Wildlife
‘Painted Dog Conservation’ are commited to the African wild dogs. They try to improve the preservation of this endangered species in Zimbabwe. They do not only have an ‘Anti-Poaching unit team’ to protect the African wild dogs, but they also have a rehabilitation program to give wounded animals a second chance. They do this for ten packs of dogs spread over all of Zimbabwe!

Zeehondencentrum Pieterburen is one of the oldest and best shelters in the world. On their campus and field station live and work volunteers and researchers from all over the world. Due to their collective passion and multidisciplinar approach, they have created a learning community. They try to transmit the passion to a larger audience and inform them about their mission.

Cape RADD is een maritiem veldstation dat dient als platform voor onderzoekers in het False Bay-gebied van Kaapstad. Wij zijn gespecialiseerd in projecten die de biodiversiteit van een wereldwijde hotspot met meer dan 3500 endemische mariene soorten monitoren en onderzoeken. We streven ernaar onze wereld beter te begrijpen door een verscheidenheid aan technieken te gebruiken, met een bijzondere focus op benaderingen die gebruikmaken van burgerwetenschap. De kern van onze waarden is het doorgeven van onze expertise aan jonge wetenschappers en mensen met een passie voor de oceaan.
Het hoofdkantoor van Cape RADD is gevestigd in het gezellige Simon's Town, False Bay; genesteld in een gebied van spectaculaire schoonheid met prachtige stranden, ongelooflijk zeeleven en een bergachtige achtergrond - op slechts 40 km van het stadscentrum van Kaapstad. Ons hoofdkantoor bevindt zich op 50 m van de meest beschutte duiklocatie van Kaapstad, Long Beach, perfect voor duiktraining en het testen van uitrusting. De kust van Zuid-Afrika is een bekende hotspot voor mariene diversiteit, met tal van haaien-, walvisachtigen, zeehonden- en vissoorten, evenals kelpbossen, natuurlijke rifsystemen en kunstmatige habitats in de vorm van scheepswrakken.
