AAV

Diergeneeskundig-Memorandum-logo.png

Since 2015, Archaeopteryx and the bird working group have been affiliated with the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV) as a student chapter. The AAV is an international professional organization dedicated to promoting the health, welfare and conservation of birds. To achieve this, they stimulate the development of avian medicine.

The student chapter of Archaeopteryx currently consists of the members of the bird working group. If you want to join the student chapter, you must therefore be part of the bird working group. If you are interested in this, you can contact the chairman of the bird working group.

What are the benefits of a student chapter for Archaeopteryx and its members?

Many! The AAV can sponsor activities, we get access to a database for internships, externships and residencies, and you can network well via an online student forum with other student chapters!

An example of sponsorship by the AAV from the lustrum symposium on 5 February 2019. At the time, the AAV gave a lecture on ophthalmology in birds by Univ.-Prof. dr. Rüdiger Korbel from Munich. This lecture was then fully funded by the AAV.
